  • No offline applications are allowed.

So, students cannot apply on their own; the form will be submitted by authorised school authorities.

Who Fills the Online Form?

The Board has clearly fixed who can log in and register candidates:

  • For Stage I (Class VI students)
    • Block Education Officers (BEOs) will log in and apply for students of all elementary schools under their block / NAC / municipality / municipal corporation.
  • For Stage I & II (Class VI & IX students of one secondary school)
    • Head of Institution (Headmaster/Headmistress) will log in and apply only for their own school students.

No one else is allowed to log in. If any other person fills the form, that application will be rejected.

The login authority (BEO or Head of Institution) is fully responsible for correct details, mobile number and email, because all communication about the exam will go to those contacts.

How Registration Happens (For Schools & BEOs)

Although students don’t fill the form themselves, it helps to know the process so you can remind your teachers and BEO in time.

Step 1 – Sign‑Up and Login

  • The authority goes to the PMST link on www.bseodisha.ac.in.
  • Clicks “Sign Up” and creates a new account with email ID, password and details.
  • A verification mail is sent; they must click “Please Click Here to verify your account” in the email.
  • After verification, they log in with email ID and password.

Step 2 – Profile Information

  • On first login, they must create a profile:
    • Select authority type: Block Education Officer or Head of Institution.
    • Choose district and block/NAC/municipality (for BEOs).
    • Enter name, official address and mobile number.
    • Upload their full signature and click “SAVE”.
  • After saving, profile details cannot be edited, so they must double‑check everything.

Step 3 – School Profile

  • For each school, the authority enters:
    • U‑DISE code (for elementary schools) or BSE school code (for secondary schools).
    • Once the code is correct, the school name appears automatically.
    • They select the correct location (block/NAC/municipality/municipal corporation) and fill other details, then click “SUBMIT”.

Note: If a school’s U‑DISE code is not found in the system, the school must contact DEO/BEO to send a request to BSE, Odisha by email so that the school can be added and its students can register.

Step 4 – Registration of Students

  • After school profile, the authority clicks “New Registration” to add students.
  • It is advised to first fill all student details correctly in a printed form (format given on BSE website), then enter those data online to avoid mistakes.
  • For each student, they enter personal details and upload:
    • Scanned photograph
    • Scanned full signature (JPG/JPEG, size < 50 KB)
  • Click “SAVE”, check details, and if needed, click “EDIT” to correct.
  • After corrections, click “UPDATE”, then “VIEW”, and finally “FINAL SUBMIT”.
  • After final submit, a Registration Number is generated for each student. This should be noted and saved.
  • The authority can then print the application form and register the next student using “NEW REGISTRATION”.

Important Points for Students and Schools

  • Only Odia‑medium school students can appear.
  • The correct mobile number and email ID must be entered by login authorities; wrong contact details can block important messages about exam date, centre and admit card.
  • Login authorities should inform all schools under their jurisdiction about the scholarship, so that maximum students can participate.
  • Examination centres may be set within the same block or a nearby block, so keep checking your school notice board and SMS updates.
