The merit list is prepared based on the weighted percentage across these categories. Preference is given to candidates with prior experience working with Children in Conflict with Law (CICL). In case of a tie, preference goes to the candidate with prior experience in the child rights field. The selection committee’s decision is final.

The committee recommends up to 5 candidates per post, in order of merit, to the Governing Body. Shortlisted candidates will be called for original document verification before the appointment order is issued. The selection panel remains valid for 1 year from the date of finalization.

Job Responsibilities (What Each Post Involves)

House Father: Responsible for the day-to-day care, safety, discipline, and welfare of children at the Observation Home & Special Home — including providing daily essentials, maintaining hygiene, escorting children to Board/Committee/Court proceedings, and maintaining relevant registers.

Art & Craft cum Music Teacher: Conducts at least 2 sessions of 2-hour duration per week for each group of children, teaching art forms, art history, and music, while helping children participate in projects and undertake art initiatives like mural painting, under the Superintendent’s supervision.

PET Instructor: Ensures every child participates in at least 2 hours of group physical activity daily, trains children in sports and athletics, manages sports equipment supply, and coordinates volunteers for training sessions.

Helper cum Night Watchman: Patrols the premises and boundary walls, ensures all entry points and dormitories are securely locked at night, monitors CCTV/perimeter lighting where available, conducts periodic checks on dormitories, and acts as the first responder during night-time emergencies.
