Selection Process

There is no written examination for this recruitment. Selection is purely on:

  1. Merit basis — percentage of marks (aggregate of all subjects/years/semesters) in the prescribed qualification, arranged in descending order.
  2. Tie-breaker rule: If two or more candidates have the same percentage, the older candidate (by date of birth) is ranked higher. If the date of birth is also the same, the candidate with a higher percentage in Matriculation is preferred.
  3. Document Verification (DV) of shortlisted candidates.
  4. Pre-engagement Medical Fitness Test — only candidates declared medically fit will be considered for final engagement.

Important: Completing the apprenticeship does not guarantee or create any right to regular employment with IOCL.

Documents Required at the Time of Document Verification

  1. 10th pass/Matriculation certificate (proof of date of birth)
  2. Class XII mark sheet / semester-wise ITI, Graduation, or Diploma mark sheets

  5. Certificate confirming date of result publication and regular full-time mode of study, from the Principal/Institute (if applicable)
  6. SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/EWS/Disability certificate, as applicable, in the prescribed format
  7. Skill Certificate (for Code 111 applicants only)
  8. Print of NAPS/NATS portal registration with applicant details
  9. Affidavit (Annexure-A) confirming compliance with apprenticeship eligibility conditions
  10. One original photo ID proof (Aadhaar/PAN/Voter ID/Driving Licence/Passport)

How to Apply for IOCL Paradip Apprentice Recruitment 2026

Applying involves two mandatory steps — missing either step means your application will not be considered.

Step I: Register & Apply on NAPS or NATS Portal

  • For Codes 101, 102, 108, 109, 110 & 111: Register on the NAPS portal at apprenticeshipindia.gov.in. Select “Apprenticeship Opportunities,” choose the IOCL Paradip Refinery location and your trade, then complete registration.
  • For Codes 104, 105, 106 & 107: Register on the NATS/BOAT portal at nats.education.gov.in. After registration, apply to the IOCL Paradip Refinery advertisement from your dashboard.

Establishment IDs to select on the portal:

Paradip RefineryEORJSC000003E07192100001

Step II: Fill the Mandatory Microsoft Form

After completing Step I, you must also fill additional details on the official Microsoft Form: 👉 https://forms.office.com/r/LZyLWrpk16

Submit only one response in the form, and ensure your registration/enrolment number matches exactly between the NAPS/NATS portal and the MS Form.

Quick Checklist Before You Apply

  • Use the same email ID and mobile number across both steps — this will be used for all future communication.
  • Apply for only one trade/discipline.
  • Keep a valid Apprentice Registration/Enrolment Number ready before starting.

Stipend & Other Service Conditions

  • Stipend: Paid as per rates prescribed under the Apprentices Act, 1961/1973, Apprentices Rules 1992 (as amended), and IOCL’s guidelines — the exact trade-wise stipend structure is available on the official NAPS/NATS portal and IOCL website; the notification does not fix a single flat amount for all trades.
  • Personal Protective Equipment: Apprentices under Codes 101, 102, 104, 105, 106 & 107 will get one pair of safety shoes and a helmet (returnable after training).
  • No HRA or Company Accommodation is provided.
  • Leave: 32 days General Leave (8 days/quarter) including medical grounds, and 12 days Casual Leave per year (pro-rata).
  • Insurance: Apprentices are covered under Accident Insurance during the training period.
  • Apprentices are governed by the Certified Standing Orders applicable to workmen at the unit.

Fraud Alert ⚠️
