Eligibility Criteria
1. Age Limit (as on 01.01.2026)
You must have attained 21 years and must not be above 42 years. You must have been born not earlier than 2nd January 1984 and not later than 1st January 2005.
Age Relaxation:
- SC / Women / Ex-Servicemen: 5 years
- PwD (40% or more): 10 years
- PwD + SC: 15 years cumulative
2. Educational Qualification
A candidate must hold at least a Second-Class Master’s Degree in Geology or Applied Geology or Earth Science from any recognized University in India.
3. Knowledge of Odia
Mandatory. You must be able to speak, read and write Odia and must have passed any one of the following:
- M.E. School or higher examination with Odia as a language subject
- Matriculation with Odia as medium
- Class-VII with Odia as a language subject
- Odia test in M.E. School standard conducted by S&ME Dept, Govt. of Odisha

- General / SEBC / UR: Rs. 700/- only
- SC / ST / PwD: No Fee
