Notes from the notification:
- The number of vacancies in different categories may increase or decrease.
- Reservation for SC/ST will follow the Orissa Reservation of Vacancies in Posts and Services (for SCs and STs) Act, 1975 and related rules.

- A passage of 400 words in English will be dictated in 5 minutes; the candidate takes it down in shorthand and reproduces it in typescript (on computer) in 10 minutes.
- Candidates securing at least 55% (General and other categories) or 50% (SC/ST) in the shorthand & typewriting test will be called for the Computer Science Test (Practical).
- For each correct word, 0.125 marks are awarded; mistakes include wrong spelling, substitution, repetition of words and wrong punctuation.

- Computer Science (Practical): paragraph formatting, insertion of tables, printing and saving, file transfer, website searching/browsing, downloading email, use of pen-drive, and other software including accounting programmes.
- Viva-Voce: suitability for the post — alertness, general outlook and potential qualities.
Documents Required (with the Application Form)
Candidates must submit the following along with the prescribed application form (Form-A). All photocopies must be self-attested.
- Three self-signed recent colour passport-size photographs, duly attested by a Gazetted Officer (one to be affixed on the application form)
