Eligibility Criteria & Experience Required

General Requirements (Applicable to All Posts)

Age Limit: The applicant’s age shall not exceed 57 years as of 1st October 2026. High School Certificate (HSC) will be considered as proof of age.
Odia Language Proficiency: Candidates who have not passed from an Odia Medium School must produce a certificate showing they have passed an Odia test equivalent to at least the M.E. Standard.

1. Commission Secretary

Minimum Qualification: Graduate degree from a recognized university.
Experience: 10 years of judiciary or administrative experience, with at least 5 years at the management level. Demonstrated ability to organize complex tasks and excellent communication skills.
Desirable: Work experience in a government organization, or experience with a regulatory/judicial body.

2. Director of Tariff

Minimum Qualification: Post Graduate degree in Economics OR a Graduate degree in Electrical/Power Engineering.
Experience: 15 years of experience as a professional economist or engineer, including at least 5 years managing professional staff. Must have experience in the development of tariffs in power sector utilities.
Desirable: Experience in commercial enterprises and analytical modeling.

3. Director of Engineering

Minimum Qualification: Graduate degree in Electrical/Power Engineering.
Experience: 15 years of engineering experience, with at least 5 years at the management level in large power utilities (generation, transmission, or distribution facilities).
Desirable: Experience in electricity tariff development and commercial issues/power purchase agreements.

4. Director of Regulatory Affairs

Minimum Qualification: Graduate degree in Electrical/Power Engineering OR Degree in Law OR MBA in Finance OR CA/CMA/CFA.
Experience: 15 years of professional experience in power utilities/Regulatory Commissions/Central or State Govt., with at least 5 years specifically in Regulatory Affairs. Experience in Electricity Law or Commercial Law.
Desirable: Knowledge of Tariff Regulation/setting, drafting statutes, and contract/administrative law.

Selection Process
